Striving to positively improve the quality of lives of families and communities is a responsibility she takes very seriously. Dr. Hedges was drawn to pediatrics in large part because of the
opportunities for preventive care. Whether ensuring the best
possible start to life for a newborn, managing a young child’s
asthma, or helping a teenager navigate the formative years,
he believes there is the chance to foster healthy practices and thus promote well-being over a lifetime. As he seeks to provide this diverse care, he aims to forge a partnership with parents and their children in order to best meet the individual needs of
each child and family. Dr. Hedges hopes to nurture each child
as a whole, by addressing his or her unique physical, mental,
and emotional needs. When not in clinic, he enjoys spending time with his three children, hiking, cross-country skiing, biking, running, ping-pong, reading and gardening.
